Xwinsave
Version 1.0 March 1, 1995
A MS Windows 3.1 Screen Saver

This is a partial port to MS windows of the X Windows Xlock screen saver
program by Patrick J. Naughton (C) 1988-1991. See the copyright notice
at the bottom of this file.
XWinSave is actually a bundle of screen savers combined into one program.
The displayed screen is randomly chosen or if you have a favorite, it can be
configured to display only that screen saver. At the time of this writing
there were 11 different animated screens.
This will work best on a computer with a math coprocessor, although that is
not a requirement. It has been tested on a Pentium 60 mhz, 486 33mhz, 486 66mhz
and 386 40mhz. Performance of some of the screen savers on the 386 machine
were sluggish (mainly Flame, Pyro, and Galaxy).
INSTALLATION: Copy XWINSAVE.SCR to your windows directory and select Xwinsave
from the Windows Control Panel DeskTop.
KNOWN PROBLEMS: Most of these routines are math intensive. For machines without
a math coprocessor (386 and 486SX), it may take a few moments to exit the Flame
and Galaxy screen savers. Don't panic and give it the three finger salute.
Just wait (10-30 seconds or more on really slow machines) and it will return
your screen to normal. On fast machines the response is instant.
While I made every effort to test this program within the means available to me,
I make no claims to its usefulness, reliability or safety. Use at your own risk.
In particular, all test machines available to me had SVGA monitors. I would
be interested in hearing from anyone who runs this a different kind of monitor.
CODE: The code to this screen saver is also available. If it was not with this
file then it should be retrievable from where ever you received this package.
If not contact me at one of the above addresses and I'll try to get you copy.
This is program may be freely distributed without charge or obligation.
If you enjoy the program, or find a bug, drop me a note at one of the email
addresses above or at:

If there is sufficient interest, future releases of Xwinsave will be made with
even more screen savers and additional features such as passwording.
